Why do I need to Sign Up?

Joining Seeflow is completely free!

Charges are only incurred when you purchase services from Seeflow.

As a registered user, you can simply log in; select the services you want and we will have all your relevant details ready and waiting! If you like, you can also include your Employer and/or Workbridge information. This allows us to invoice them directly.

Registration also allows secure access to your private NZSL translated information.

All your details are confidential and never shared with others.

Will the translation be good quality?

Seeflow uses only professionally registered and experienced NZSL translators to ensure concise, clear and fluent NZSL translations.

Our team includes professionals who have a range of subject knowledge and community interpreting experience, including subject specialists. This means we can match the demands of your translation to the best-suited member of the team. All translations are double checked by another professional to ensure quality and accuracy. Translations intended for broad public distribution are double checked by a native speaker.

We have access to a range of online resources to help with technical information. However on occasion we may need to get back to you to clarify something in your document before proceeding. We will do this as soon as possible after receiving the document.

These provisions are designed to allow us to consistently produce the highest quality translations possible, in a realistic timeframe, for a fair and reasonable cost.

How long will the translation take?

For our translation work, we offer three different deadlines, depending on your needs and budget:

  • Urgent (3 hours), Rapid (24 hours), Normal (3 days)

For our English Grammar Check service, we offer these deadlines:

  • Urgent (2 hours), Rapid (6 hours), Normal (24 hours)

Sometimes your requested deadline may not be possible because the document or video is too long or complex. If this happens, we will let you know which deadlines are suitable for your translation, and the costs. It is then up to you to decide how to proceed.

We understand working to deadlines, but quality is very important to us, and so we will not rush a job to meet an unrealistic deadline request. We will keep you fully informed of such issues so we can still meet your expectations.

When your translation is completed, you will receive a text and email informing you that your document is now ready to be securely viewed and downloaded though our website.

What format will I receive it in?

NZSL > English translations will be provided in a Microsoft Word (.doc) format. Log in and download your documents.

English > NZSL translations will be provided in .MP4 format, a commonly used video format. When you log in, your video translations will be viewable online, and are also downloadable.

English Grammar Checked documents will be provided in a Microsoft Word (.doc) format. Log in and download your documents.

How much will it cost?

Seeflow translations and grammar checks vary in price depending on the length and complexity of the content, and the deadline you select for the translation to be completed by.

NZSL > English or English > NZSL translations. The standard cost for a translation is $68.50. This includes translation of the source material:

  • up to 5 minutes of NZSL video, or
  • up to 500 English words

Additional length of source content will incur further charges of

  • NZSL video $9.50 per additional minute or part there of
  • English document $9.50 per 100 words or part there of

Grammar Check. The standard cost for a grammar check is $32.50. This includes grammar check of the source material:

  • up to 250 English words

Additional length of source content will incur further charges of

  • English document $6.50 per 100 words or part there of

Note: Additional complexity, and shorter deadlines will increase the cost of the translation or grammar check. We encourage you to seek a quote for your submission. All prices above are excluding GST.

Can I receive a quote first?

Yes, this is possible! When you log in, select a service, and upload your video or document, you can inform us that you would prefer a quote first. Seeflow will then assess the job and contact you with a quote. You can then decide whether or not to proceed.

Is my information secure?

Yes, we value your privacy above all else.

The safety and confidentiality of your message information is of extremely high importance for us, as it is for you. We have built our system to include a number of security measures to protect your content, and use the lowest number of people possible to bring you the best translations.

Business Hours

Seeflow’s standard working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am – 6:00pm. Seeflow is closed during statutory holidays.

If you require a job to be undertaken or completed outside of these hours, we still may be able to help. Please let us know when you submit the job and we will get back to you urgently to confirm. After-hours work may attract a surcharge.
